In 2022, Vikalp Pandey — frustrated by the opaque, agent-driven land market while trying to purchase agricultural land in Madhya Pradesh — decided to build the solution he wished existed. He teamed up with Janak Shukla to transform India's most fragmented market.
India has over 1.7 billion acres of land. Yet the majority of transactions happen through informal channels, word-of-mouth, and brokers who charge exorbitant commissions while offering little accountability.
